However, before a tutor is assigned to your child/student, our Education Consultant will meet with both parents and child to assess the need for a tutor, the specific needs and goals, your child’s strengths, skills and difficulties. Yes. We offer a range of test preparation services including for tests such as International Baccalaureate, Diplôme d’études en langue française (DELF), Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) amongst others.

Our programs cover the: Canadian Core French Curriculum, Canadian French Immersion Curriculum, an Intensive French boost for students late or need immediate assistance, French Language Foundations Courses, Grammar Lab, Reading and Comprehension Lab and Homework help.

We offer both one-on-one and group classes. We also offer semi-private lessons for siblings. Please contact us for more information. 

Our tutoring sessions are held online. This solves location barrier, flexible scheduling, intensive one-on-one training and an adaptation of the digital environment.

Our Tutors are experienced professionals and Native-speakers. They are thoroughly trained and selected after proven expertise in their subject matter to ensure tutoring quality and professionalism is not compromised. While maintaining professionalism, they are also passionate, intentional, and empathetic to your child’s needs and difficulties.

All our tutors are fully employed within our company and have at least 3 years’ experience in teaching and/or tutoring the Canadian French Immersion curriculum to students from Kindergarten to grade 12

Yes. With your permission.

Our tutors reach out to the student’s teachers to increase communication and understand the class’s requirements. Often the teachers can provide insight into the child’s learning challenges or areas where they can get ahead of the class. We aim to work collectively with the teachers to ensure consistent developmental and learning growth for your child.

Yes. Our experienced tutors operate from 8 am to 8 pm Eastern time everyday, including weekends. During the assessment, we will discuss scheduling constraints and work with the family to determine the sessions’ best schedule. This ensures we are supportive of your likely hybrid work model and allows you to be active in your child’s tutoring growth.

With Bonjour Tutors, learning is fun and flexible. Children’s learning pace is heightened by embodied learning. Embodied learning employs relatable experiences, nature, likes and dislikes, cultural backgrounds, favorite toons to ensure learning is instilled and practical.

There’s no definite answer to this. Learning pace differs among children. Your child improving or seeing success depends largely on your child’s specific goals and your definition of success.

For you, improvement and success may mean the ability to read and understand without supervision; for another, it may mean acing their International Baccalaureate examinations.

Considering the various unique goals, learning pace and customized lessons, we recommend an average of 120–140 hours a year. Although we will work hand-in-hand with you to ensure success, the value of our service is non-negotiable.
